The most corrosion resistant of all currently available titanium alloys, Titanium Grade 5 Sheets is especially well suited to applications requiring resistance to general as well as localized crevice corrosion.

The addition of palladium gives Titanium Grade 5 Plates enhanced crevice corrosion resistances at low temperatures and high PH and is the most corrosion resistant of all titanium alloys. Grade 5 Titanium Sheets is resistant to salt water and is suitable for handling chlorides media, wherein addition it is resistant to erosion or impacts. The mechanical properties of commercially pure Grade 5 Titanium Plates are in fact controlled by "alloying" to various levels of oxygen and nitrogen to obtain strength level varying between approximately 290 and 550 MPa. Ti Gr. 5 Sheets is characterized by excellent corrosion resistance in reducing and oxidizing environments and is typically used within, for example, the chemical industries.
